By request of the 10 Delegated Prosecutor before Supreme Court of Justice, the 45 Circuit Penal Judge  in Bogotá, acting as Presiding Judge, today has assessed a plea bargaining between the Attorney General Office and Dávila Jimeno family, whose 4 members have agreed to accept their responsability for misappropriation in conjunction with forgery in private document.

The prosecutor affirmed that the plea bergaining has envisaged a conviction of 22 months against Juan Manuel Dávila Jimeno and  his wife, María Clara Fernández de Soto; 20 months to their sons, Ana María and Juan Manuel Dávila Fernández de Soto each.

The Dávila Jimeno´s  have reimbursed $2.212.501.313 COP, corresponding to subsidies granted by Programa Agro Ingreso Seguro, AIS.  Therefore,  they have been granted for a reduced conviction and agreed to accept  the punishables above mentioned, explained the Attoney General Office.

The judicial official affirmed that these 4 persons have gotten engaged to be a witnesses against several indicted individuals , among them, the former Agricultural Minister and Rural Development, Andrés Felipe Arias Leyva.

The sentence will be pronounced next October.
