The Fourth Circuit Criminal Court in Manizales, acting as Presiding Court, has imposed a 13 years and 4 months in prison sentence on Diego Fernando Zapata Gómez, finding him responsible for the crime of aggravated theft.
The investigation coordinated by the Ninth “Sectional” Prosecutor’s Office established that the current sentenced along with other individuals, on December 25th 2011, stole COP $ 213 million pesos in an ATM located at Los Laureles gas station, after subduing the gas station workers and deactivating alarms.
Zapata Gomez is imprisoned in Tuluá town (Valle del Cauca), where he is in custody since last March, when he was arrested.
