At the request of the Prosecutor, section 313, Margarita Gómez Romero and his son Luis Alfonso Cardenas Gomez were remanded in custody by the 47 Municipal Criminal Judge in Bogotá, acting as Supervisory Judge. The above individuals were charged of their alleged responsibility in the aggravated crime of trafficking, manufacture and possession of narcotic drugs.
According to the Prosecutor, the now accused were in possession of 116 kilograms of high purity cocaine, hidden in the bathroom of a building in the neighborhood San Pablo, Fontibón area, West of Bogotá.
Cárdenas Gómez was working at the El Dorado international airport, where he was responsible of carrying food carts to aircrafts.
At the end of the accusation hearing, none of the defendants were agree to accept charges and they were transferred to “El Buen Pastor” Women Prison and La Modelo national prison respectively.
