A judge, acting as Supervisory Judge in Paz de Ariporo (Casanare), considering an Attorney General request, pronounced a remand in custody to six alleged responsible for the offences of aggravated extortive kidnapping for ransom and rebellion.

The investigated fact happened on June 3, 2012 in Cañadotes Area, Paz de Ariporo municipality, where Dumar Asdrúbal Delgado Ortiz was kidnapped. Later, relatives received phone calls by the perpetrators who demanded 60 million COP to release the victim.

Competent Authorities was informed about the situation that, after carried out investigations, they searched a house in Aguazul – Casanare department, where Carlos Uriel Acevedo Cáceres, Edilberto Bohórquez Cáceres, Ana Yolima Téllez Ruiz, Antonio Oviedo, Edgar Orlando Ramírez Alarcón and Jhoan Manuel Aguirre Díaz were arrested and deprived of their freedom in Yopal Town Prison.

During the judicial procedure, it was also confiscated a computer, 80 cellular phones, a motor van, intelligence documents and advertising leaflets of the ELN guerrilla group, 4 motorcycles, 4 pistols, ammunition and explosives.
