Five alleged responsible for the kidnapping of the Italian National, Piero Gianini Macioci, were remanded in custody in Villavicencio city Penitentiary, as result of an order pronounced by a Municipal Penal Judge in el Calvario town – Meta, acting as Supervisory Judge, who accepted the petition presented by the Attorney General Office.
Investigated facts happened on July 18, 2012, when Piero Gianini arrived to his farm in Pompeya Area, located on a road between Villavicencio and Puerto Lopez Town – department of Meta, where armed men come up him, threatened the responsible of the farm and took the victim to an unknown whereabouts.
Intelligence duties carried out by National Police Gaula Team led to arrest, in Villavicencio, Granada- Meta and Bogotá, the following individuals: Yesica Johana Moreno Parra, Asdrúbal Castro Garzón, Valeriano Pedroza Ramírez (responsible of the farm), Hernando Rodríguez Herrera and Víctor Manuel Carvajal Castro.
Telephone calls were allegedly made by current defendants in the name of “Jorge Briceño Suárez” Block from FARC, in which 1000 millions of Colombian Pesos were demanded by them for the kidnapped releasing. Among others material evidences, The Attorney General Office counts with tapping made to telephone numbers of such defendants.
In spite of the insistence for the ransom, it was reduced to 100 millions COP. Survival proofs never have been produced by kidnappers.
