The First Municipal Penal Judge in Cartago – Valle del Cauca, acting as Supervisory Judge, accepted the Attorney General request and announced a preventive detention measure against César Andrés Pérez López, former coordinator of La Red Joven in Cartago, as alleged responsible of the offences of threats, false denunciations and procedural fraud.
As established by Technical Corps of Investigation CTI, the current defendant allegedly sent via Internet different kind of material threatening journalists, union leaders, observers/advisors and lawyers.
Experts in IT offences concluded that this information would have been extracted from Perez Lopez equipment, who was arrested by Sijin, after a request submitted by the Attorney General Office to a supervisory Judge.
The defendant was not agreed to accept the charges and will serve the measure in his house in Cartago.
