Claims and Complaints

In compliance with Decree 1151 from the so called “Gobierno en Linea”*, the Attorney General´s Office has implemented a system for Inquiries, Claims and complaints

  • Inquiries: inquiries refer to all those respectful requests made by private individuals or corporate entities, either written, verbal or through electronic mails or any other proper media to communicate or transfer data of particular, collective or general interest, provided that their objectives are not contrary to Political Constitution or Law.
  • Complaint: a complaint is a statement, protest, censure, annoyance or non-conformity related to an illegal conduct committed by one or several public servants in the exercise of his/their functions.
  •  Claim: a claim is the right of a person to demand, reclaim or ask for a solution or answer regarding the functions of an institution either for a particular or general reason.

Notice: a claim differs from a complaint in that it refers to the service provided by the Office of the Attorney General and a complaint refers to the public servant´s behavior in the exercise of his/her functions.

  • Suggestion:  a suggestion is a statement focused on improving services provided by the Office of the Attorney General
  • Congratulation: a congratulation constitutes a demonstration of gratitude or satisfaction for the services provided by the Office of the Attorney General
