The facts occurred on last November 26, when anti-narcotics police investigators developed the operation called Crystal green. After several months of follow-up, the Prosecutor’s Office obtained material elements that allowed to establish that the Organization, led by Hector Daza Roa, alias Tarantula, had managed to form a structure with clandestine laboratories for the production of cocaine in the municipalities of Tauramena, Villanueva, Monterrey, San Luis de Gaceno and rural area of Yopal (Casanare) and Paratebueno (Cundinamarca) and Arauca.
At the end of the production process, substances were transported by land to the State of Apure (Venezuela) and from there, with a fleet of small planes sent by different routes to countries such as Honduras, Haiti, Suriname, Guyana Islands and Dominican Republic; to reach illegal markets in North America and Europe.
The Prosecutor’s Office also established that the Organization had money exchange companies in Cucuta and other cities, which served as a facade for the entry of foreign currency. Similary, that the obtained resources were invested in luxurious properties in Bogota and in vans or vehicles of high range.
In Development of the investigative stage and different operating were destroyed four planes, six laboratories with 800 kilos of chemical inputs and seized 950 kilos of cocaine.
