The Attorney General’s Office brought Jhon Boris Luna Cervantes before a judge in Cartagena (Bolívar). He is an alleged member of the criminal group La Oficina de la Costa which is accused of committing crimes for the so-called Clan del Golfo.

A prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Bolívar (Seccional Bolivar) charged the defendant with conspiracy to commit crimes, homicide; and manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; all aggravated conduct. He did not plead guilty to the charges.

According to the investigation, the defendant would be the head of the hitmen of the criminal organization commanded by alias Alex Pereira, who is currently in a maximum security prison.

Judicial police work revealed that Luna Cervantes apparently participated in the murder of a 45-year-old man. The crime took place on July 8, 2022, in La Candelaria neighborhood of Cartagena, where the victim was shot several times from a motorcycle. As a result of the attack, two more people were injured.

Officers of the National Police arrested the defendant in the so-called El Olivo area of ​​Santa Rosa de Viterbo (Boyacá). The judge sent Luna Cervantes to prison.
