The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted Néstor Daniel Arrieche Arrieche, for his alleged responsibility in extorting of a merchant in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander).
In this regard, a prosecutor charged him with aggravated extortion. He did not plead guilty to the charges, and a prison sentence was pronounced by a judge.
The investigative activities allowed establishing that he demanded the delivery of four cell phones in exchange for not attacking the victims’ business and family. The requests and threats were received through video calls and text messages.
The defendant was arrested in fraganti by Gaula of the National Police when he was receiving the requested items, valued at 2 million COP.
