The Attorney General’s Office achieved the conviction of Brayan Stiven Ortiz Bolaños and Jonathan David Arizala Parra, for their responsibility in the attempted murder of two men, which took place in different facts in Cali (Valle del Cauca).

  • In a first case, the Office of the Attorney General demonstrated that Ortiz Bolaños attacked a man with a traumatic weapon who was on a public road in the Petecuy neighborhood. The victim was shot several times and was taken to a health center where he survived. The facts took place on July 10, 2021.

By decision of the judge, Ortiz Bolaños was sentenced to 8 years and 4 months in prison for the crime of attempted murder.

  • On the other hand, Arizala Parra was sentenced to 9 years and 2 months in prison for his responsibility in the attack on a man with a knife during a robbery.

The facts took place on December 12, 2023, when the victim was walking on a public road in the city. Arizala Parra was convicted of attempted murder; and qualified and aggravated theft.
