The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted Luis Humberto Escamilla González, alias Cachi, as responsible for aggravated homicide; manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms and trafficking, manufacture or possession of narcotics. The defendant pleaded guilty to the latter.
The investigation showed that the defendant would be responsible for a homicide that took place on April 13, 2020, in addition to allegedly selling narcotics in Cartagena.
Judicial police work established that the crime was committed in a public establishment in the Olaya Herrera neighborhood, where the defendant allegedly shot a man. As a result of the attack, the victim, 29 years old, died when he was being transferred to a medical center.
Escamilla González was arrested during a search warrant carried out by the National Police in a house in the Olaya Herrera neighborhood where, it is believed, narcotics were stored for their subsequent distribution and sale. There, 10 bags of cocaine were seized.
The defendant will be sent to San Sebastián Ternera prison in Cartagena.
