Five people were arrested for allegedly being part of a criminal organization known as Los Grillos, which is allegedly involved in local trafficking of narcotics through home delivery in Florencia (Caquetá). The specialized prosecutor who led the investigation charged them, according to their individual responsibilities, with aggravated criminal conspiracy and trafficking, manufacture or possession of narcotics. They did not plead guilty to the charges.

According to the investigation, the defendants were selling illegal substances such as cocaine and marijuana between March 2022 and June 2024.  Each one fulfilled a specific role and/or function within the criminal network. The illicit substances were sold in Las Malvinas, Tovar Zambrano, Andes Bajos and La Estrella sectors in the main city of Caquetá.

The people arrested by the Police were: Mike Johnatan Castaño Huaca, alias Mai, who allegedly coordinated the criminal acts; Brayan Estiven Cárdenas Guzmán, alias Rudol as a dealer; Armando Moreno Artunduaga, alias Taxista and Óscar Édgar Forero Forero as transporters, and Erika Giraldo Tovar, who would be in charge of distributing the illicit substances.

None pleaded guilty to the charges brought by the delegate prosecutor at a hearing. The first two were sent to prison; Forero Forero and Giraldo Tovar, must serve house arrest; while Moreno Artunduaga must appear before the court while in freedom.
