After several months of monitoring activities carried out by the Attorney General’s Office and the National Police, three people were prosecuted. They were allegedly in charge of selling narcotics near schools in Yopal (Casanare).
In a case, Leidy Juliana Hernández Ardila and Cristhian Calderón Velandia were prosecuted for being allegedly responsible for the crimes of trafficking, manufacturing or possession of narcotics and manufacturing, trafficking, or possession of firearms.
On the other hand, the Prosecutor’s Office charged Jorge Leonardo Ramírez Suárez with the same offenses and receiving stolen property.
In both cases, several search warrants were carried out and the authorities seized a bazooka, cocaine, a firearm, a traumatic weapon, tools to ration narcotics, a motorcycle that was reported stolen, and cash.
The sale of narcotics took place near a school and several childcare centers.
The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges that were brought against them and due to the evidence that was showed, the judges imposed prison sentences.
