At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, a judge issued a detention measure to four alleged members of the Palmeras criminal group, involved in drug trafficking in the municipality of Floridablanca (Santander).

According to the investigation, this gang operated in sectors such as Laureles Bajo, Laureles Alto, Palmeras and Reposo, where they were involved in petty drug dealing using minors in order to avoid raising suspicions.

During the arrest carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office and the Police, narcotics, clonazepam pills and a cell phone were seized.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with conspiracy to commit a crime for the purposes of drug trafficking, drug trafficking, use of minors to commit crimes and illicit use of property, in accordance with their individual criminal responsibilities. They did not plead guilty to the charges.

The defendants are Kervin Johan Colmenares, John Jairo Useche, Armando Cortés and Diego Fernando Valbuena Silva.
