At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, a judge ordered a prison sentence against five alleged members of the Los Claros gang

The Prosecutor’s Office charged them as alleged co-perpetrators of the crimes conspiracy to commit a crime for drug trafficking and the manufacture, trafficking and possession of narcotics.

According to the investigation, since 2022, Martha Nelly Atehortúa Ramírez, Yuliana Osorio Montoya, Jefferson Gallego Marín, alias Jefferson, Sebastián Ocampo Álzate, alias Sebas, and Luis David Diosa Rivera were allegedly involved in the sale and commercialization of marijuana and coca base in the urban and rural area of Ansermanuevo.

The Prosecutor’s Office associated 20 drug trade facts by infiltrating a Judicial Police investigator into the criminal structure and was able to obtain information about the modus operandi and identified the alleged members of Los Claros.

The defendants were arrested by Sijin members of National Police during eight home searches in Laureles, Bolívar and La Inmaculada neighborhoods of this municipality in the north area of the Department.

During the operations, doses of coca base ready to be distributed, marijuana, and a 9-millimeter pistol and ammunition were seized.
