At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, judges deprived of their liberty 10 alleged members of two criminal groups engaged in the sale of hallucinogenic substances in Los Güires de Arauca (Arauca).
According to the authorities, judicial police work showed that the modus operandi of these groups is the sale of the substances in small quantities using their residences and home delivery.
The arrests were carried out by the Technical Investigative Corps (CTI), with the support of the Army, the National Police and Navy in search proceedings carried out this June 3, 4, 5 and 6 at homes in that sector. In the operations, the authorities seized bazuco, cocaine, a gramera, cell phones and hermetic bags, cash and a motorcycle, apparently used to transport the substance.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged those prosecuted for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or possession of narcotics. For his part, the judge sent to prison: Janet Josefina Chuellos Sanchez, alias Guajira, Michel Douglas Rodríguez Velázquez, aka Barbero; Brandon Anuar Mejía Vargas, aka the Enano; Eliecer Isai Matos Chacón, aka Eliecer; Luis Alberto Serrano Maldonado, aka El Mono; Luis Antonio Medina Reyes, aka Pipo; and Jean Carlos Rojas Chuellos, alias Poma; Rosemary Andreina Herrera Rangel, Angelo Jesus Garrido, Jairo Rivas Morales.
Ángel Uriel Rojas Rojas must serve home confinement.
