For the crimes of conspiracy to commit a crime, trafficking, manufacture or possession of narcotic drugs and illegal destination of personal or real estate properties, six people who were arrested in home searches carried out by the Sijin of Police in Tolima were sent to prison.

The defendants were allegedly part of an organized crime group called Los Micos, who were accused by a prosecutor belonging to the Anti-narcotics Unit of the Sectional Office in Tolima Section for trafficking illicit substances in neighborhoods known as Mutis, El Dorado, Los Pinos and Villa del Sol in the municipality of Mariquita.

The arrested people were Alexánder Cardozo Romero, Óscar Iván Trujillo, Alberto Eduardo Carrioza Vargas, Duver Ferney Jiménez Beltrán, Cristian Camilo Serrato González, Abelardo Andrés Barrios Cuesta and Gabriela Yenireth Astahona Hernández.

During the home search proceedings, several grams of cocaine hydrochloride and itmes for the dosage of the illicit substance were seized.

They did not plead guilty to the charges.
