The Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa, held a meeting in Santo Domingo with the Attorney General of the Dominican Republic, Miriam Germán Brito, to strengthen and renew bilateral cooperation ties.
A topic of special importance that was included on the agenda of both Attorney Generals was cybercrime. They shared joint challenges and the experience of both countries to combat cybercrime.
Both Prosecutor’s Offices reiterated their commitment to fight against drug trafficking, human trafficking, migrant smuggling, financial crimes, and money laundering.
In this strategic meeting, joint operations and results in the fight against a common enemy between the regions, which is transnational organized crime, were analyzed. In the meeting, good practices of the Colombian and Dominican Republic Prosecutor’s Offices were shared.
