At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, a judge in Ocaña (Norte de Santander) issued a prison sentence against Regino Ramírez Jacome for his alleged responsibility in the crime of trafficking, manufacturing, or possession of narcotics.
According to the investigations carried out by the institution, the man was arrested in a flagrante delicto on March 18 by National Police, when they surprised him when transporting 12 kilos of cocaine.
The substance was found in the gasoline tank of a motorcycle in which the accused was traveling between the municipalities of Ocaña and Sardinata (Norte de Santander) where it was going to be sold.
Ramírez Jacome did not plead guilty to the charges brought by the Prosecutor’s Office and will serve the sentence in a prison in Ocaña.
