The Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa, held a meeting with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet

In the meeting of the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa, with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the progress made regarding the investigations into crimes committed during the violent demonstrations between April and June 2021 was presented.

In this successful meeting which was of great benefit for the strengthening of the defense of Human Rights in Colombia, the work carried out by the Office of the Attorney General in the clarification of homicides against social and leaders in process or reincorporation was presented.

The Attorney General also presented the work that has been developed with the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (Jurisdicción Especial para la Paz JEP)  for the protection and rights of the victims of the armed conflict in Colombia. The High Commissioner recognized the work of the Attorney General´s Office in this regard.
