In a joint operation carried out by the Technical Investigative Corps (in spanish Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación CTI) of the Office of the Attorney General with the support of the Army, a building that would be used as a drug storage center was located. About 600 kilos of ‘creepy’ marijuana were found in a rural area of the municipality of Caloto (Cauca).
In a home search procedure carried out in the early hours of July 31st which was ordered by a special prosecutor of the Branch Office in Cauca, the authorities found 25 plastic containers and 5 synthetic fiber containers that contained 863 packages that, according to the preliminary chemical analysis, tested positive for ‘creepy marijuana’. Also, a person who was in the place was arrested.
According to the Office of the Attorney General, the place was allegedly used as a storage center in which the substance was also vacuum packed for its preservation and subsequent camouflage inside vehicles to facilitate its transportation.
In the next few hours, the arrested person will be brought before a supervisory judge by the Office of the Attorney General to carry out the preliminary hearings for the offense of manufacture, trafficking, or possession of drugs.
The Office of the Attorney General makes this information public for reasons of general interest.
