The Attorney General’s Office and the National Police arrested eight people who would be part of the ELN’s front named Frente de Guerra Oriental. Nine assets valued at $2 billion that served to finance the illegal activities of the ELN were also seized.

As part of this work, there has been an effective coordination between the Delegate office against Criminal Organizations and the Delegate Office against Criminal Finances in which the collection of evidence has moved forward in a reserved and decisive manner in order to identify and locate people responsible for the terrorist attack that caused 22 deaths and injured 89.
In this way, it was possible to arrest eight people who participated in the financing, planning, and execution of the attack that took place on January 17, 2019. At the same time, the illegal properties that financed ELN to carry out the attacks, as the police academy, were affected, and 9 properties, including real estate, companies, commercial establishments and vehicles were seized.
