As part of the judicial strategy to protect human rights and clarify attacks against social leaders and people in the process of reincorporation, the Office of the Attorney General managed to arrest David Alejandro Amaya Zapata, alias Capadura, a member of the Farc dissent who was responsible for various criminal actions committed in Antioquia.
The defendant was brought before a judge to hold a hearing* (audiencias concentradas) in Ituango (Antioquia). The judge legalized the arrest and ordered a detention measure with imprisonment. For his part, a prosecutor belonging to the Special Investigation Unit charged the defendant with aggravated criminal conspiracy aimed at committing murder, extortion, and drug trafficking with illegal possession of a firearm.
The evidence collected would indicate that alias Capadura, as a member of the Farc dissent, would be involved in the murder of Yeison Amaya Zapata who is a relative of a person who was reincorporated. The facts took place on September 10, 2018, in the rural settlement of Santa Lucia, Ituango (Antioquia).
