Alleged criminal organization composed of police and CTI officers which extorted with false judicial proceedings has been dismantled

At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, the 7^th Municipal Criminal Court of Medellín (guarantee Court) issued a preventive detention order with imprisonment against CTI officers belonging to the Sectional Office in Medellin, Gabriel León Ortiz, aka el Viejo or el Fiscal, and Luis Javier Gracia Acevedo, aka El Gordo for aggravated extortion with attempt.

Decision also affects police officer of the municipality of Girardota (Antioquia), Luis Fernando García Acevedo and  Yamid Andrés López Lezcano who also belongs to the same police station.

Former police officer  Samir Alexis Celis Uribe and the private individual Jhisser Guillermo Sandoria Maturana were also arrested.
