Thanks to a hard work performed by the Office of the Attorney General concerning the issue of corruption in the country, the First court of mixed jurisdiction* for the Circuit of Maicao (La Guajira) will sentence Liliana Rocío Lambiase, who served as legal representative of the non-profit foundation Princesa Negra and who was in charge of auditing a contract on paving stones for the municipality of Albania (La Guajira).
Due to irregular acts that caused a loss in public funds which amounted to more than 5.900 million pesos, the former legal representative was sentenced to 5 years and three months in prison. She was also barred from holding public office for the same period of time. She was charged with forgery of a public document.
