At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, a judge (control de garantias) issued a preventive detention order with imprisonment for Eduardo Alexánder López Correa, alias Chiqui, for being an alleged member of the criminal gang Los Romanos.
The above mentioned person was charged with aggravated criminal conspiracy with a view to drug trafficking and manufacturing or drug possession.
According to the investigation, the aforementioned structure distributed large quantities of drugs in Bucaramanga (Santander) coming from the south area of the country.
On May 27th, in an operation carried out by the Office of the Attorney General and National Police, half ton of cocaine that was hidden in the cabin of a truck, was seized.
