Charges were brought against a public servant and a former public servant from the mayor´s office in Cartagena for an extortion offense

The Attorney General´s Office brought charges before a supervisory judge (Juez de Control de garantías) in Cartagena against Frank Carrascal Castaño, a public servant in active duty at the mayor´s office in Cartagena and against Ronald Puello Ochoa, a former public servant for an extortion offense.

The defendants who did not plead guilty to the charges were arrested in fragrant  by SIJIN Police members in a restaurant while they were receiving $ 200 million in exchange for cleaning up a debt concerning a  real property tax.
