Faber Aaron Perez Gallego and John Walter Bravo Agudelo, alias Yota were remanded into custody for attack with a flammable liquid and set fire to a young man who crossed the so-called invisible borders of a gang. Decision imposed by the 27 Criminal Municipal Court in Medellín, acting as Supervisory Court.
According to the investigation conducted by a Regional Prosecutor assigned to the Unit of Life, on March 6, 2012, in the morning, several armed men sprayed with a flammable liquid and set on fire to John Esnéider Garcés Ruiz, 24 years old, because Garces Ruiz was unknown in an Area of Manrique neighborhood of the capital of the Antioquia Department.
The victim suffered burns on 15 percent of his body and received legal/medical disability longer than 120 days. Attackers robbed him the cell phone, money and jewelry.
Perez Gallego and Bravo Agudelo, alleged members of the criminal organization La Roja, who commit crimes in the North-Eastern commune in Medellín, were remanded in custody for the offences of aggravated homicide in the form of attempt and qualified and aggravated theft. Both were sent to the Bellavista National Jail.
John Walter Bravo Agudelo has two convictions for illegal possession of firearms for personal defense and qualified and aggravated theft.
