The Second Special Penal Circuit Judge Attached to Antioquia pronounced full validation of evidences produced by the Attorney General Office and convicted to nine members of the “Los Rastrojos” gang who committed crimes to the northeast of Antioquia.
Jadison Andrés Usme Ciro, alias Elías, Eduardo Betín Lucas, alias Moncholo, John Alexánder Novoa Muñetón, alias Yordany, Nelson de Jesús Prisco Saldarriaga, alias Julio Pipa, y Carlos Andrés Bedoya, alias Leche were sentenced for the offences of Criminal Association Aggravated and, as ringleaders of the said group, will serve six years of imprisonment each.
Jaime Alexánder Miranda Rodríguez, alias Mono James, Juan Stiven Giraldo Palacio, alias Juan, y Juan Pablo Henao Carvajal, alias Plan B. were convicted to four years of imprisonment as police officer.
Also, Raul Duvalier Montes Urzola who was Police Inspector in Machuca area, Segovia municipality (Antioquia) until December 31st, 2011 was sentenced to five years and three months of imprisonment by the official.
Investigators established that the individual provided information to criminals in order to avoid the arrest. All sentenced individuals were agreed to accept the charges and their sentence was half reduced.
The current individuals sentenced are investigated by the Attorney General Office for their involvement in fifteen homicides committed between 2010 and 2011.
