The 49 Penal Judge in Bogotá, as supervisory judge, decreed the arrest legalization of   two of the members of an organization devoted to foreign currency counterfeit that could be put into the national and international market.

During the arrest legalization hearing, the Director of the National Unit of Intellectual Property,  Silvia Montoya, said that in the house of the accused were found $1.204.500 Euros forged in one hundred banknotes and $1.031 U.S. Dollars in 20 and 100 banknotes.

Also, during the arrests in flagrancy, it was found plates, printers, computers, USB, inks, printed paper, and forged Euros and Dollars banknotes totally finished and ready to circulate.

“These elements were aimed to manufacture counterfeited banknotes with laser prints. Methods used by forgers who tried to confuse common people”, affirmed the Delegated Prosecutor by sustaining the arrest legalization.

During proceedings, defendants were identified as: Sandra Viviana Agudelo y Fabio Chacón, who initially identified themselves by forged Venezuelan documents.

Those individuals were charged by the Attorney General Office for the offences of national and international counterfeited currency.
