A prosecutor\u00a0appointed to the branch office in\u00a0Bol\u00edvar\u00a0(Seccional\u00a0Bolivar) prosecuted\u00a010 alleged members of the criminal group\u00a0<\/span>Los\u00a0Caleteros<\/span><\/i>, who are\u00a0alllegedlly\u00a0involved in local drug trafficking in Cartagena.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The individuals\u00a0are:\u00a0<\/span>Kelvis Jos\u00e9 Hern\u00e1ndez Padilla, Yordis Valente Polo, Claudia Patricia Puello Ram\u00edrez, Pedro Morales Cris\u00f3n, Alexander Botte Gal\u00e1n, Jes\u00fas David Machado Morales, Segrid Arellano Z\u00fa\u00f1iga, Mateo Barrios Barros, Eduarda Gal\u00e1n Silgado and Dilson Gal\u00e1n Silgado.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the criminal network was involved in storing\u00a0narcotics to sell them at fixed points and through\u00a0home delivery in Flor del Campo neighborhood. For this purpose, the defendants allegedly carried out roles as\u00a0‘campaneros\u2019\u00a0<\/span>(acting as a lookout)<\/span>, distributors, delivery personnel, and collectors.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During five\u00a0home searches conducted by the National Police in the\u00a0aforementioned sector,\u00a0seven of the defendants were\u00a0arrested. The others were arrested on public roads in the same area.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Office of the Attorney General charged them with conspiracy to commit\u00a0a crime\u00a0and trafficking, manufacturing, or possession of narcotics. None of them pleaded guilty to\u00a0the charges. All\u00a0of them were sent to prison.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
