The Office of the Attorney General, through its branch\u00a0office in Santander,\u00a0presented\u00a0evidence that led a judge to sentence\u00a0<\/span>Christian Tirado\u00a0Almendrales\u00a0and\u00a0Juan Daniel Corzo Jim\u00e9nez\u00a0to\u00a017 years and 6 months in prison<\/span> for their responsibility in the crimes of homicide and the trafficking, manufacture, and possession of firearms or ammunition. Both offenses were considered as aggravated.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The facts took place on October 24, 2024, when the defendants arrived on a motorcycle at Jerusalem neighborhood in Barrancabermeja, searching for a 30\u2011year\u2011old man who upon noticing their presence, he tried to hide, but was located by Tirado Almendrales and Corzo Jim\u00e9nez, who shot him multiple times.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Both\u00a0men were\u00a0arrested\u00a0in\u00a0<\/span>March 2025 by virtue of a judicial order.\u00a0\u00a0CTI officers and National Police participated in the operation. The evidence presented by prosecutors led the defendants to plead guilty to the charges last September.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
