At the request of the\u00a0Office\u00a0of the Attorney General, a judge imposed a prison\u00a0sentence\u00a0against\u00a0<\/span>Luis Fernando Quesada Beltr\u00e1n and \u00d3scar Leonardo Rozo Mesa,\u00a0for being the\u00a0alleged perpetrators of the attack against a couple\u00a0in\u00a0<\/span>Venadillo\u00a0(Tolima).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A prosecutor\u00a0appointed to the branch office in\u00a0Tolima\u00a0(Seccional\u00a0Tolima)\u00a0charged them\u00a0with\u00a0 homicide,\u00a0attempted\u00a0homicide, and manufacture, trafficking, possession\u00a0of firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition\u2014all aggravated offenses. The defendants did not\u00a0plead guilty to the charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, on May 14 in Lorenzo Ure\u00f1a neighborhood in Venadillo, the victims were riding a motorcycle when they were intercepted by the defendants who allegedly shot at them multiple times. The man died as a result of the attack, while the woman was taken to a medical center where she was saved.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The National Police conducted the arrest warrant against Quesada Beltr\u00e1n in Mariquita (Tolima). Meanwhile, Rozo Mesa was notified while being in L\u00edbano prison where he is already being held for another process.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
