The defendant\u00a0allegedly\u00a0caused the death of a farm worker at the property where the events took place.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, a judge imposed a prison sentence on H\u00e9ctor Zambrano, accused of murdering his former sentimental partner and another man, at a farm located in the San Lorenzo village of Cajamarca (Tolima).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A prosecutor\u00a0belonging to the branch office in\u00a0Tolima\u00a0(Seccional\u00a0Tolima)\u00a0charged him with\u00a0femicide and homicide, both aggravated, as well as manufacturing, trafficking, or possession of firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition. The defendant\u00a0pleaded guilty to the charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0facts took place\u00a0on December 1, when Zambrano arrived at the house where his\u00a0former\u00a0partner lived and allegedly shot her.\u00a0Then, he went to another\u00a0house\u00a0located\u00a0on the same property and allegedly killed a worker.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These crimes were\u00a0apparently committed\u00a0during an episode of jealousy. Zambrano was\u00a0arrested in\u00a0flagrante\u00a0by the National Police.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
