At the request of a\u00a0prosecutor from the\u00a0branch office in\u00a0Bol\u00edvar\u00a0(Seccional\u00a0Bolivar), a judge imposed a\u00a0prison\u00a0sentence\u00a0against\u00a0<\/span>Harlis David Mart\u00ednez Montes, alias\u00a0<\/span>Candelo<\/span><\/i>, alleged member of Clan del Golfo, who is\u00a0allegedly involved\u00a0in several criminal actions committed in Cartagena.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the defendant is allegedly implicated in at least two murders that occurred in 2023 in Bol\u00edvar. These were two contract killings carried out on behalf of the\u00a0so-called\u00a0Clan del Golfo, the criminal organization to which\u00a0<\/span>Candelo<\/span><\/i>\u00a0is believed to belong.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the incidents took place on October 21, when a car driver was shot multiple times while driving through\u00a0Sim\u00f3n\u00a0Bol\u00edvar neighborhood. The second crime was committed on November 7 in\u00a0Bocagrande\u00a0sector. The victim was a tourism operator.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For these\u00a0facts, the National Police\u00a0arrested\u00a0alias\u00a0<\/span>Candelo<\/span><\/i>\u00a0in C\u00facuta (Norte de Santander). The Prosecutor\u2019s Office charged him with aggravated homicide and aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime, as well as manufacturing, trafficking,\u00a0possession of firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition.\u00a0He did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
