At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, a\u00a0judge\u00a0imposed\u00a0a prison\u00a0sentence on\u00a0nine alleged members of the criminal group known as\u00a0<\/span>Los\u00a0Mostros<\/span><\/i>,\u00a0that was involved in\u00a0local drug trafficking in\u00a0Ibagu\u00e9\u00a0(Tolima).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A prosecutor from the\u00a0branch office in\u00a0Tolima\u00a0(Seccional\u00a0Tolima)\u00a0charged them, according to their individual responsibility, with criminal conspiracy and trafficking, manufacturing, or possession of\u00a0narcotics;\u00a0both aggravated offenses. The defendants did not\u00a0plead guilty to\u00a0the charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the defendants allegedly engaged in storing, preparing dosis, and selling marijuana and <\/span>bazuco<\/span><\/i> (a cocaine byproduct) in a marketplace located at <\/span>calle\u00a021\u00a0con\u00a0carrera\u00a04\u00a0<\/span><\/i>and\u00a0neighborhoods\u00a0La Estaci\u00f3n,\u00a0Hip\u00f3dromo, San Pedro Alejandrino, La Cartagena, Garz\u00f3n, and El Carmen. They generated\u00a0illicit\u00a0income of approximately 60 million pesos per month.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0 individuals\u00a0that were arrested\u00a0are:\u00a0<\/span>Juan Gabriel Hern\u00e1ndez, alias Tortugo; Francisco Javier Monasterio, alias Polo; Jos\u00e9 Hugo M\u00e9ndez, alias El Viejo; Pedro Andr\u00e9s \u00c1lvarez\u00a0Zarta, alias Palillo;\u00a0Jhon\u00a0Fredy Su\u00e1rez Moreno, alias Negro;\u00a0Jhon\u00a0Jairo Barrero, alias Tapete;\u00a0Jasson\u00a0Fabi\u00e1n Riveros Figueroa, alias El Gato, Fabi\u00e1n Antonio L\u00f3pez, alias Soldado, and Juan Fernando Villalba Reyes, alias Chamo.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
