The Office of the Attorney General\u00a0brought\u00a0Miguel Francisco Castillo Pe\u00f1uela\u00a0before a judge\u00a0for\u00a0being\u00a0allegedly\u00a0involved\u00a0in the\u00a0murder\u00a0of a citizen during an argument\u00a0in C\u00facuta (Norte de Santander).\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The events under investigation took place\u00a0on\u00a0November 12, on a public street in Quinta V\u00e9lez neighborhood, where the defendant\u00a0allegedly\u00a0participated\u00a0in a fight with another citizen.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the argument, Castillo Pe\u00f1uela allegedly injured the victim with a bladed weapon. He was taken to a medical center but he died due to the severity of the wounds.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The man was arrested in flagrante delicto, and a prosecutor from the\u00a0so-called Unidad de Vida\u00a0of\u00a0the branch office in\u00a0Norte de Santander\u00a0(Seccional\u00a0Norte de Santander)\u00a0charged him with aggravated homicide.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Castillo Pe\u00f1uela pleaded guilty to the charges and was\u00a0sent\u00a0to prison by a judge.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
