The Office of the Attorney General\u00a0prosecuted two men who were allegedly caught transporting\u00a0four tons of hydrocarbons\u00a0in a tan truck\u00a0at kilometer three\u00a0in\u00a0the road from\u00a0Ubat\u00e9\u00a0to\u00a0Simijaca\u00a0(Cundinamarca).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The defendants, identified as Jhony Alejandro Romero Casta\u00f1eda and Jeisson Alberto Pe\u00f1a, were charged\u00a0with\u00a0receiving\u00a0hydrocarbons. They did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These individuals were\u00a0arrested\u00a0in\u00a0flagrante\u00a0on November 5 at a National Police checkpoint in\u00a0Ubat\u00e9\u00a0(Cundinamarca). Upon inspecting the vehicle, authorities found four tons of a mixture of illegal liquefied petroleum gas, equivalent to 4,700 liters.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When\u00a0they were\u00a0questioned about\u00a0the permit\u00a0by\u00a0the competent authorities, they\u00a0stated\u00a0they did not have it.\u00a0The verification of the crude\u00a0oil\u00a0that was\u00a0transported established that it was valued at 18 million\u00a0COP\u00a0and was allegedly destined for\u00a0Chiquinquir\u00e1\u00a0(Boyac\u00e1).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
