The\u00a0evidence collected by the Office of the Attorney General \u00a0allowed a judge\u00a0 to impose a\u00a0prison\u00a0sentence\u00a0against\u00a0<\/span>John Edwar Quintero Bonilla and John Alexander Murcia Ram\u00edrez, who are allegedly involved in\u00a0the\u00a0robbery\u00a0and murder of a citizen in Neiva (Huila).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A prosecutor\u00a0appointed\u00a0to the so-called Unidad de Vida\u00a0(Life Unit) of\u00a0the branch office in\u00a0Huila\u00a0(Seccional\u00a0Huila) charged\u00a0them with homicide,\u00a0attempted\u00a0homicide, aggravated\u00a0robbery, and manufacture, trafficking,\u00a0possession of\u00a0firearms, accessories, parts, or\u00a0ammunition;\u00a0all aggravated offenses. The defendants did not\u00a0plead guilty to the\u00a0charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the facts took place on June 30 in a commercial establishment in the so-called Arismendi Mora neighborhood in Neiva. The defendants allegedly arrived at the place and attacked several citizens who were spending time with their families.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the incident, they allegedly snatched jewelry and a cell phone from the victim.\u00a0In the midst of\u00a0the struggle, one of the aggressors\u00a0allegedly\u00a0shot him\u00a0several\u00a0times, causing the victim\u2019s death. Another person was injured and taken to a medical center. The alleged perpetrators fled the scene on a motorcycle.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prosecutor\u2019s Office\u00a0established\u00a0that these men allegedly seized valuables worth more than<\/span>\u00a020,000,000 pesos.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These men were\u00a0arrested by CTI officers, with support from the National Police.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
