At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, a judge\u00a0imposed a\u00a0prison\u00a0sentence\u00a0against eight alleged members of \u2018La Isla\u2019,\u00a0a criminal group\u00a0allegedly\u00a0involved in\u00a0local drug trafficking in\u00a0\u00c1ngel\u00a0Ricardo Acosta neighborhood\u00a0in\u00a0Florencia (Caquet\u00e1).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A prosecutor\u00a0belonging to the branch office in\u00a0Caquet\u00e1\u00a0(Seccional\u00a0Caquet\u00e1)\u00a0charged them, according to their individual responsibilities, with\u00a0criminal conspiracy; trafficking,\u00a0manufacturing\u00a0or possession of narcotics; and the use of minors to commit crimes. None of the defendants\u00a0pleaded guilty to the\u00a0charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, this criminal group allegedly sold narcotics on public roads and in various properties in the area known as \u2018La Isla\u2019 in \u00c1ngel Ricardo Acosta neighborhood.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In several search warrants carried out by CTI and National Police, the following individuals were arrested: Jorge Luis Lozano Caro, <\/span>Lunio\u00a0Canacue\u00a0Salazar, Marcos Sierra Grisales,\u00a0Yefferson\u00a0Delgado\u00a0Soto\u00a0and Carlos Arturo\u00a0Ultengo\u00a0Mu\u00f1oz. Moreover, Luis An\u00edbal Mart\u00ednez Franco,\u00a0Fener\u00a0Augusto Trujillo\u00a0Molina\u00a0and Jerson Alexis Ordo\u00f1ez Ruiz\u00a0\u2014who are already incarcerated\u2014were formally\u00a0informed about\u00a0the charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
