The Attorney General’s Office brought\u00a0seven people allegedly involved in the murder of a man on April 25 before a judge\u00a0in Tulu\u00e1 (Valle del Cauca).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The people allegedly involved are:<\/span> Juan David Pati\u00f1o Ospina, Luis Norberto C\u00e1rdenas Jim\u00e9nez, Juan Camilo Hurtado Hurtado, Andr\u00e9s Juli\u00e1n Rold\u00e1n Holgu\u00edn, Jos\u00e9 \u00c1ngel Naspiral Gonz\u00e1lez, Luis Alberto Torres Giraldo and Jos\u00e9 Estiven Caicedo Castillo.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The facts under investigation are related to the discovery of body parts in La Playita area, on Tulu\u00e1 river. According to the investigation, the victim was tortured and dismembered. Third parties were allegedly forced to transport the victim to the location where he was found.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The arrests were carried out on September 23 by the National Police. A prosecutor belonging to the branch office in Valle del Cauca (Seccional Valle del Cauca) charged them with homicide and kidnapping (both aggravated), constrain to commit a crime. None of them pleaded guilty to the charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The judge\u00a0 ruled that the alleged suspects must serve their detention in prison, with the exception of C\u00e1rdenas Jim\u00e9nez who must serve home detention.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
