A judge aproved the arguments presented by the Attorney General’s Office and imposed a prison sentence against\u00a0<\/span>Diego Armando Castro Renter\u00eda, Carlos David Romero Villadiego, Brahayan Rold\u00e1n Cano and Jhon Edis Abad\u00eda Rodr\u00edguez<\/span>\u00a0for their alleged participation in the kidnapping of two people in Medell\u00edn.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For these events, a prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Medell\u00edn (Seccional Medell\u00edn) charged them with kidnapping for ransom and aggravated robbery, both aggravated offenses. During the hearings, none of them pleaded guilty to the charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The events under investigation occurred on August 31st of this year, when two men were kidnapped from a house located at Villa Hermosa neighborhood in Antioquia. The victims, coming from C\u00facuta (Norte de Santander), arrived at the property to do an alleged business and were approached by a group of individuals with sharp weapons and firearms.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The alleged criminals beat the victims and robbed their cell phones, jewelry, and cash, all valued at more than 15 million COP.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the denounce, the kidnapped men were chained up and held in custody while their kidnappers contacted their families to demand a substantial sum of money for their release.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The investigations revealed that one of the victims was released by the alleged kidnappers on September 8, while his fellow captive was released three days later during an operation\u00a0 carried out by Gaula – National Police that\u00a0led to the arrest of the suspects in flagrante.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
