At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge sentenced eight people allegedly involved in local drug trafficking in El Poblado and El Jard\u00edn sectors of In\u00edrida. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Guain\u00eda (Seccional Guain\u00eda)\u00a0charged them with trafficking, manufacturing, or possession of narcotics; and illicit use of personal property or real estate. The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, these individuals were apparently involved in receiving, preparing the doses, and selling the narcotics since last March. They allegedly hid the substances to avoid being detected by authorities and thus collect large sums of money to later purchase more hallucinogens.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During search warrants carried out in the aforementioned areas, the National Police conducted the arrests of<\/span>\u00a0Carlos Andr\u00e9s Rodr\u00edguez Ortiz, Luz Ver\u00f3nica Bucury Ni\u00f1o, Renis Rub\u00e9n Parra Cruz, Carmen Ed\u00e9n Abreu, Osmar Antonio Gamarra Abreu, Di\u00f3genes Cundumi Gonz\u00e1lez and\u00a0Jos\u00e9 Rafael Chipiaje Chipiaje. Francisco Abreu, who was in prison for other offenses, was also informed about the charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Authorities seized cell phones, dosing equipment, and cash. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
