By using magnetic elements, they adhered the shipments to the ships hulls sailing from ports in the Colombian Caribbean.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Thanks to the joint action of the Attorney General’s Office and DIJIN- National Police with support from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) located and conducted the arrest warrants for extradition purposes of three men accused of adhering cocaine hydrochloride shipments to ships departing from the Colombian Atlantic Coast to countries in the Caribbean and Central America.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The people allegedly involved are \u00d3scar Iv\u00e1n Mor\u00f3n Ramos, alias Supervisor; Nelson Javier Granados Sastoque, alias Primo; and Yesid Sep\u00falveda Montiel, alias Guachupita, who were informed about the international request during proceedings that were conducted in Gaira sector of Santa Marta (Magdalena) and Villa Carolina and San Pachito neighborhoods of Barranquilla (Atl\u00e1ntico).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico charged these individuals with drug trafficking. They are accused of magnetically adhering boxes of narcotics to the ship hulls departing for their destinations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They allegedly obtained information from port and marine logistics companies about the location and itineraries of the motor vessels to carry out this illegal activity. In this way, they located the ships\u00a0and contaminated them before sailing.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The three arrested individuals were placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office while the procedures for their extradition to Puerto Rico are completed.<\/span><\/p>\n
