The Office of the Attorney General prosecuted five alleged members of the criminal group known as the XTZ, who allegedly stole high-performance motorcycles in Florencia, Albania, San Jos\u00e9 del Fragua, Bel\u00e9n de Los Andaqu\u00edes, Modelia, and La Monta\u00f1ita (Caquet\u00e1).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Caquet\u00e1 (Seccional Caquet\u00e1) charged them with criminal conspiracy to commit a crime, qualified theft, and the use of minors in the commission of crimes. None of the defendants pleaded guilty to the charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the facts occurred between November 2024 and June 2025 when it was learned about the existence of a group formed of at least nine people, who had established roles and were intended to remain active over time. They apparently conspired to commit thefts of high-performance motorcycles, which would later be sold in Cartagena del Chair\u00e1 and La Uni\u00f3n Peneya in La Monta\u00f1ita (Caquet\u00e1).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The defendants are linked to 11 criminal acts, in which most of the victims were women, some of them minors, whose vehicles were \u2018pulled away\u2019. In one of the cases, force was used.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The people involved are Mauricio Quintero L\u00f3pez, the ringleader of the group; Andr\u00e9s Sierra Ram\u00edrez; Andr\u00e9s Felipe Ramos G\u00f3mez; and Jos\u00e9 Ricardo Oviedo Godoy, who were allegedly in charge of the thefts by violating security systems and intimidating people to rob their property. These people were sent to prison.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Yina Marcela Cabrera Osorio was placed under house arrest. She apparently worked as \u2018campanera\u2019 (acting as a lookout) and concealed the motorcycles at her residence.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Officers from the Technical Investigation Corps, with support from the National Police, carried out the arrests during five home searches in Florencia, La Monta\u00f1ita (Caquet\u00e1), and Garz\u00f3n (Huila).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
