At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge ordered a prison sentence against Jairo Andr\u00e9s Aguirre V\u00e1squez and N\u00e9ider Alberto Mart\u00ednez Gonz\u00e1lez. They are allegedly responsible for attacking two men in a rural area of Quimbaya (Quind\u00edo).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A prosecutor of the branch office in Quind\u00edo (Seccional Quindio) charged them with aggravated homicide, attempted homicide, and manufacturing, trafficking, or possessing firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition. The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The facts took place\u00a0on August 21st at a farm located in El Jazm\u00edn neighborhood in\u00a0Quimbaya. The\u00a0defendants entered the property and allegedly attacked a man with a sharp weapon, who died at the place. They also shot another man and was injured. They then fled on a motorcycle.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The National Police activated the so-called ‘plan candado’\u00a0(lockdown plan) at the access road to the area, where they arrested Aguirre V\u00e1squez and Mart\u00ednez Gonz\u00e1lez in flagrante delicto. They were identified by the alleged victim as the alleged attackers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
