A judge approved the evidence presented by the Attorney General’s Office and imposed a prison sentence against four men and two women, who were allegedly arrested in flagrante with firearms and ammunition in the metropolitan area of C\u00facuta.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The desicion involves\u00a0<\/span>Lizandro Jim\u00e9nez D\u00edaz, Wilfer Arbey Jaimes Gonz\u00e1lez, Doyan Alexander Pedroza Mosquera, Anderson Enrique Ovalles Meza, Mar\u00eda Judith Vera Casadiego\u00a0and Danann Shirley Vera P\u00e9rez who <\/span>were charged with manufacturing, trafficking, or possessing firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition, and manufacturing, trafficking, or possessing weapons, ammunition, accessories for the exclusive use of the armed forces, or explosives.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On August 19, under the coordination of a sectional prosecutor, the National Police arrested the suspects in flagrante during two home searches in Alonsito and El Porvenir neighborhoods of this city.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A submachine gun, two pistols, a revolver, a fragmentation grenade, two traumatic weapons, 117 cartridges of various calibers, accessories for firearms and nine cell phones were seized from the properties.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The detainees did not plead guilty to the charges that were brought by the Prosecutor’s Office and were sent to Modelo prison in Norte de Santander.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
