At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge ordered a prison sentence for C\u00e9sar Stiven Calder\u00f3n Romero, for being allegedly responsible for the murder of an elderly man, which took place on August 10 in Pitalito (Huila).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A prosecutor appointed to the Immediate Reaction Unit (<\/span>Unidad de Reacci\u00f3n Inmediata URI<\/span><\/i>) of the branch office in Huila\u00a0(Seccional Huila) charged him with homicide. The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The facts took place after a fight that took place between Calder\u00f3n Romero and a 78-year-old man, who was apparently attacked with a sharp weapon in one of his arms and his back. He died due to the severity of his injuries.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The alleged attacker was arrested in fragante by the National Police on a public street in Pitalito, near the so-called Avenida Circunvalar. Officers found the weapon that he allegedly used to commit the attack.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
