Edwar Fabi\u00e1n Pillimu\u00e9 Ilamo, known in the municipalities of northeastern of Cauca as \u2018Camilo\u2019 accepted through a preliminary agreement with the Attorney General’s Office his participation in the recruitment of minors for the Dagoberto Ramos, Jaime Mart\u00ednez, and Ur\u00edas Rond\u00f3n structures of FARC dissidents.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The man admitted that in 2020, he hosted and accommodated four children, ages 13 and 14, in a building in the Tacuey\u00f3 district of Torib\u00edo (Cauca). They had been contacted through social media and persuaded to bring illegal weapons into these organizations with offers of high salaries, motorcycles, and other benefits.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He subsequently transported the minors to Corinto and Santander de Quilichao (Cauca), where he bought them clothes, shoes, and food. Finally, he took them to Pasto (Nari\u00f1o) and left them with members of the FARC dissidents, who transported them to a rural area of Tumaco (Nari\u00f1o). For this activity, \u2018Camilo\u2019 received 5 million pesos by that time.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0A judge in Popay\u00e1n (Cauca) examined the terms of the agreement, declared it legal, and sentenced Pillimu\u00e9 Ilamo to 6 years and 6 months in prison for illegal recruitment. Additionally, the court imposed a fine equivalent to 400 times the current legal monthly minimum wage and specified that the sentence must be served in prison.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The convicted man was arrested by National Police in February 2025, in Bosa, south area of Bogot\u00e1. He is currently in a prison in Palmira (Valle del Cauca).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
